Willington Hill Fire Department #49
Fund A Firehouse
The Willington Hill Fire Department has a long history of being community funded.
From when the department was originally founded members put up their houses as collateral for the loan to procure the funds to expand the station.
Now as the Willington Hill volunteers look to take the next step into building a new fire station, we look to our community for aid.
Our fire station has always been open for community use, from community oriented events such as the famous Chicken BBQ to the Easter Egg Hunt,
to various organizations utilizing the hall and kitchen for everything from Boy Scout meetings to birthday parties.
The volunteers look to continue to accommodate the community in a modernized, safety oriented fire station.
We now look to the community to help us in funding this next station, so we can continue to serve them whenever and however they need help.

What can a new fire station provide the Willington Hill Fire Department Volunteers?
- Modernized facilities, that can support bigger community functions and provide a cleaner environment for first responders.
- Emergency offices and locations, such as an office for the Fire Marshal, an Emergency Operations Center, and an Emergency Shelter.
- Truck bays large enough for each truck to have individual spots instead of shared spots, and an indoor and outdoor training space.
- Hazard seperatation between fire trucks and firefighter apparel from the adminstrative offices, and proper medical supply storage.
